Welcome To The Old Oxford Arms

A family friendly restaurant and pub set in one of the oldest buildings in Durbanville.

The original building now home to The Oxford Arms was built in the early 1800s and, along with our neighbours, is the oldest remaining building in Durbanville. It is thought that the building was originally built as a bakery and residence. After several renovations, it was used as a private school for girls in the early and mid-1900s, and was later declared a national monument in 1989.

Dating from around 1835 this house would have had a thatched roof, since replaced with corrugated iron with a veranda added. The veranda's supports are modern additions. It currently serves as an English style pub and restaurant – The Oxford Arms.
